Ben’s first trip to daycare

This is Amy’s last full week at home with Ben. The daycare recommends coming by for a couple of hours and watch how the people interact with the babies as well as for the moms to slowly “let go” as they transition back to work.

Ben spent a couple of hours there on Tuesday and had an interesting time. In the end, I think it will be really good for him to be around other babies and begin his life with others besides just mom and dad.
At this point, i think Amy will have a little bit of a tough time next week when she goes back to work for the first time. Thursday is the big day!
As it stands now, Ben will be in daycare for four days a week, with Amy and I alternating Friday’s working from home. I’ll be dropping him off in the morning and Amy will be picking him up in the afternoon.

As for everything else, we are still trying to find that “routine”. Everyday is different and we are far from anything at this point. I did get a lot done around the house while I was on vacation over the holidays, so that was nice.

More to come soon with Ben, and I still have to make that episode 2 of the vidcast with all the latest and greatest footage….where does the time go??

hey man when is ben’s last big feed of the day, before being put down for the night? we find Farrell prefers later, but we’d like to push him a little earlier? Just wondering about a peer.

i’m not sure he has “one last big feed of the day”. He’s nursing, so it’s kind of come and go. Amy tries to feed him and let him fall asleep a bit, then lay him in the crib around the time we are tired and going to bed.

ah good. about the same as us then! the hardest time is growth spurts, when they just get insatiable… like this weekend!
