a ben’s life

So I’m in Toronto for the rest of the week for work. It’s my first time “away” from Amy and Ben and i feel awful. Partly because I miss them, and partly because I’m not there to help Amy.
Today Ben had an appointment for an ultrasound to follow up on the enlarged kidneys he had when he was in the wound. The doctor said this is pretty commom, and just a bi-product of the ultrasound technology today. Bottom line is we are not worried, but it was Amy’s first adventure out and about with Ben on her own.
I called and checked in a little while ago and she said all went well. Except for the fact that I put the car seat base in her car backwards. Oh well, you win some, you lose some!
I can’t wait to get home on Friday. I’ve talked about perspective here quite a bit and this is just another example of putting things in perspective when you have a little one at home. I don’t want to miss out on all the little things that a new father gets to experience!
