As Time Goes By…
I got a great comment today from a mother who just sent her son (ironically enough, named Ben) to college yesterday.
She made a very good point about how time passes by so quickly when you are a parent, and more importantly how you should appreciating every possible moment you have in being that parent!
Now for Amy and I, we aren’t even there yet, and the last eight months seemed to have flown by!!! Just watching Amy’s belly grow, visits with the doctor, shopping, daydreaming, decorating, and planning have been so fullfilling for me. I know I am ready to be Ben’s father and at this point, anxious more than anything else!
We haven’t even met Ben yet, but already we are the proudest parents. Sometimes when I look back on my own life, I don’t know where the past 30 years have gone!!
None the less, I’m really looking forward to spending the rest of my life as a “father”!

I have friends who are just as excited with becoming first-time parents. Lots of hair-raising experiences, but nonetheless they couldn’t look any better. And my mom’s more excited for me having my own apartment than she is sending me off to college (now in my final year. Sheesh). A small world and yet so different…
